Tournament Rules
- Points will be awarded as follows during round robin play.
Win = 2
Tie = 1
Loss = 0
- Round Robin Rules
-there will be 2 periods played in each game consisting of 25 minutes each.
-straight time shall apply unless in the last 5 minutes of period 2 and there is less than a 3 goal differential.
-3 minute warm up before game starts
-5 minute break between periods
-floods will occur between each game
- Play Off Rules
-playoff games will be determined by how you place in your pool
- in the event of a tie in points, standings will be determined as
follows: i.) goals for ii.) goals against iii.) lesser penalty minutes and if
teams are still tied after these 3 scenerios it will be based on a coin
toss
-playoffs will hold to the same game regulations as above. With the added rule of if at the end of the two 25 minute periods, there will be shoot out to determine the winner. First round of shoot out will be 3 players from each team take a shot, best out of 3 wins. If still a tie a different three will proceed. If after 2 rounds the game is still tied, it will continue with a player from each team taking a turn and sudden death.
- Penalties
- penalties during straight time shall be as follows: i.) Minor- 3 minutes from the drop of the puck ii.) Major - 7 minutes from the drop of the puck iii.) Misconduct - 15 minutes from the drop of the puck
- penalties during stop time shall be as follows: i.) Minor- 2 minutes
ii.) Major - 5 minutes iii.) Misconduct - 10 minutes
- 5. Hustler of the Game
-we will award Hustler of the Game at the end of each round robin game. It will be presented to one player from each team, these awards will be given to individuals who demonstrate a true passion for hockey and puts forth 100% effort.
- 6. You may be asked to play early so please be prepared to go about 15 minutes ahead of schedule.
- 7.We ask that you keep the dressing rooms clean and the way you found them. If there is a problem with the state of the dressing room, you can find Jen or Jill at the raffle table and they will help sort the problem out.
- 8. There will be absolutely NO verbal abuse of officials tolerated.
- 9. Masking is MANDATORY within our arena. We adhere strictly to masking protocols as laid out by SHA and Hockey Sask. There will be no tolerance for those who do not properly wear their masks. You may remove your mask to eat or drink but you must be sitting down to do so.
