Where Do My Registration Fees Go?

-The majority of registration fees go towards the cost of ice. We are expecting the cost of ice to exceed $380.000.00 this year.

-The cost of referees has dramatically increased because we are now paying Hockey Sask rates . Mileage rate has increased for the 2025-2026 Season

-Coach, Player, and Team fees and insurance for players and bench staff   paid to HS . Fees have increased for the 2025-2026 Season

Effective for the 2025-26 season, Hockey Canada participants will notice a change in the structure of their annual service fees that directly support benefits provided by the national governing body, including sport safety and hockey development initiatives.

Participants will pay $41.41 in service fees next season, including insurance, which is an increase of $11.68.*

The majority of the increase is related to the participant assessment fee, which has not been raised in over 20 years.

The participant fees will be structured as follows:

  • Assessment fee will increase from $3.00/participant to $10.00/participant
  • Sport Integrity fee will increase from $2.94/participant to $4.50/participant
  • Hockey Canada Registry fee will be $3.12/participant
  • Participant insurance fees will not increase for the 2025-26 season and remain $23.79/participant.

 -League fee's

- Skills Development , Coach Clinics, Officials Clinics

-HS Jamobree's

- Jerseys , pucks , goal equipment to rent .

-Office costs consisting of our Office Manager, Ice/Equipment Manager and all expenses required to operate the BMHA Office .

Why do the AA teams pay more?(  Premium Paid to Minor Hockey )

-these teams get longer practices, game times, higher referee costs, and higher League fees.

- Team fee's are determined by the Team and paid to the Team .

How much ice time will my child get?

-All House teams 1 practice per week and 1-2 games per week when ice allows

-League teams will be given 2 practices per week and all League scheduled games

-AA teams will be given up to 2 practices a week , and all League scheduled games

. -Carded  teams will be given 1 practice per week and all Provincials games

 * we will do our best to accommodate this, however, it will be depending on ice availability

*only one practice per week will be guaranteed in town, the others will be in out of town arenas (Cut Knife, Wilkie, Saulteaux, Moosomin, and surrounding communities etc).
