Coaching Clinics

All coaches must pre-register at sha.sk.ca

DECEMBER 15 - final date for any TEAM OFFICIAL to be removed from a team roster - the appropriate certifications will be required after this date.

January 10th  - final date for all team officials to have obtained appropriate certifications. Teams will be fined $50 per infraction by SHA as per regulation #8.01.01.a)

* All non BMHA members are charged $60. 00 at the clinic . Must be paid at Registration . 

All classrooms are in the Don Ross Center ( other side of the Arena Building ) 891 99th Street .(  Riverswest Doors)

Clinic Date : Tuesday November 12th , 2019

Time: 6-9pm Classroom 9:30-10:30 pm Ice Session @ Don Ross Arena


Skates, Stick and Gloves .

 

Goaltending Clinic : ( For Coaches ) 

Clinic Date : Sunday November 17th

Room # 108

Time : 10:00am -12 Classroom 12:30-2 pm Ice time

Level Coach 2

Clinic Date Tuesday November 19th ,2019

Time: 6-9 pm Classroom and 9:30-10:30 pm Ice Session @ Don Ross Arena

Checking certification - the Head Coach must have, #8.01.01.g)

All Divisions Novice and up MUST have this certification .

Checking Clinic :

Coach & Team Staff Requirements

Team Staff Requirements is designed to help administrators, presidents, managers, coaches & trainers determine what certification is required for all levels of hockey.


Initiation

  • Head coaches - must have Coach 1 - Intro & Respect in Sport
  • Assistant coaches - must have Coach 1 - Intro & Respect in Sport
  • Manager, Trainer, Volunteer, Stick boy - must have Respect in Sport
  • Hockey Canada Safety Program (HCSP Level 1 or HU SAFETY) - 1 of the registered team officials (manager, coach, trainer or volunteer.) must have this certification)


Novice

  • Head Coaches - must have Coach 1 Intro, Respect in Sport & Checking
  • Assistant Coaches - must have Coach 1 Intro & Respect in Sport
  • Manager, Trainer, Volunteer, Stick Boy - must have Respect in Sport
  • Goalie Coach Certification - either Head Coach or Assistant Coach must have this certification
  • Checking (HU ONLINE CHECKING or Checking Skills 1) - the head coach must have)
  • Hockey Canada Safety (HCSP Level 1 or HU SAFETY) - 1 of the registered team officials with this, (manager, coach, trainer or volunteer.)


Atom

  • Head coaches - must have Coach 2 Level, Respect in Sport & Checking
  • Assistant coaches - must have Coach 2 Level & Respect in Sport
  • Manager, Trainer, Volunteer, Stick boy - must have Respect in Sport
  • Goalie Coach Certification- either the Head Coach or Assistant Coach must have this certification
  • Checking certification (HU ONLINE CHECKING or Checking Skills 1) - the head coach must have)
  • Hockey Canada Safety (HCSP Level 1 or HU SAFETY) - 1 of the registered team officials with this, (manager, coach, trainer or volunteer.)


PeeWee

PEE WEE AA (male & female teams)

  • Head coaches - must have Development 1 or High-Performance 1, Respect in Sport & Checking
  • Assistant coaches - must have Coach 2 Level & Respect in Sport.
  • Manager, Trainer, Volunteer, Stick boy - must have Respect in Sport
  • Goalie Coach Certification -  either the Head Coach or Assistant Coach must have this certification
  • Checking certification (CHECKING SKILLS 1) - the Head Coach must have)
  • Hockey Canada Safety Program (HCSP Level 1 or HU SAFETY) - 1 of the registered team officials (manager, coach, trainer, volunteer) must have this certification 

PEE WEE A, B, C, D (male & female teams)

  • Head coaches - must have Coach 2 Level, Respect in Sport & Checking
  • Assistant coaches - must have Coach 2 Level & Respect in Sport
  • Manager, Trainer, Volunteer, Stick boy - must have Respect in Sport
  • Goalie Coach Certification - either Head Coach or Assistant Coach must have this certification 
  • Checking certification (CHECKING SKILLS 1) - the Head Coach must have)

Bantam

BANTAM AA (male teams and Sports Academy's)

  • Head coaches - must have High Performance 1 certified, Respect in Sport & Checking
  • Assistant coaches - must have Development 1 or HP1 & Respect in Sport
  • Manager, Trainer, Volunteer, Stick boy - must have Respect in Sport
  • Goalie Coach Certification - either the Head Coach or Assistant Coach must have this certification
  • Checking certification (CHECKING SKILLS 1) - the Head Coach must have)
  • Hockey Canada Safety Program (HCSP Level 1 or HU SAFETY) - 1 of the registered team officials (manager, coach, trainer, volunteer) must have this certification)

BANTAM AA (female teams)
