Information for the 2015-16 Bantam Sask First Officials Program is now available.
Designed for Level II & III officials aged 16-22, or those who may be older but have officiated less than 5 years.
This camp will provide advanced instruction to assist with the development of young & inexperienced officials. Officials attending the camp will receive special instruction, both on and off the ice, to enhance their development. Past Development Camps have proven to be very beneficial for those who have attended. All participants have seen significant progress in their abilities. Some have advanced to where they now officiate in leagues such as Midget AAA, PJHL, SJHL, WHL, and CIS. This could be your opportunity to be identified by key representatives in attendance, as an official with potential to work high calibre competition in the future.
Sask First Development Camp Presented by DuPont Pioneer - April 14-17, 2016 in Regina
The Development Camp will be held in conjunction with the Sask First Camp. Twenty-four officials from across the province will be selected to participate based on rankings from each of the Zone Camps. Our program will include classroom sessions and game situations to officiate. Officials selected to attend will have meal and accommodations provided, but travel to Regina will be your responsibility.
To assist with the selection process for invitations to the Development Camp, you will be requested to officiate in the Zone Camps February 5-7. Some officials may be asked to officiate in another zone due to application numbers. Everyone who applies will attend a Zone Camp. All applicants will be informed by January 30 as to the selection of who will attend which Zone Camp.
|Zone Camps - February 5-7|
|Zone 1 - Weyburn||Zone 5 - Dalmeny|
|Zone 2 - Regina (Al Ritchie/Staples)||Zone 6 - Saskatoon (Aberdeen)|
|Zone 3 - Avonlea||Zone 7 - Kerrobert|
|Zone 4 - Langenburg||Zone 8 - Naicam|
By applying to this camp, you are committing to the entire process. Because of this, we ask that you do not accept other game assignments during the Zone Camp weeekend. This causes difficulty for the Zone Coordinators when they are creating the schedule.
Each official attending a Zone Camp will officiate the scrimmages at the camp, receive coaching & instruction from the Zone Coordinators or their designate, and receive a t-shirt. Officials will submit an expense form for their per diems and mileage.
DEADLINE FOR REGISTRATION IS JANUARY 15th, 2016. No late applications can be accepted.
ALL REFUNDS WILL BE SUBJECT TO A $10 ADMINISTRATIVE FEE.
NOTE: The only circumstance where a refund will be granted after the registration deadline will be upon receipt of a doctor's note.
